The Power and Peril of Honest Writing

I'll be honest: I feel like I've been given a strange task with this whole writing thing.

At the same time that I received a message from the universe to write, I became acutely aware of the immense power of words and their potential meaninglessness. We live in an era where people are losing their jobs and social standing for speaking their truth, while others amass followings by spreading lies.

Where does that leave an amateur non-fiction writer like myself, especially one praised for her honesty? The path ahead seems destined to provoke and possibly anger many people.
