So, let's cut to the chase – I'm feeling a little overemployed right now.

Yeah, I know, it's not a standard term, but it's the best way I can describe it right now.

This is in no way an attempt to gloat.

It's really just to remind you that even in tough times, there's always a path upwards.

So picture this: just yesterday, I found myself in a meeting with a potential client, pitching my heart out.

After about 45 minutes of flexing my technical skills and business prowess, I dropped the bomb: "Do you see why I couldn't remain just a yoga teacher?!"

Yep, that happened.

The point I was making was that my skill set is to varied to be tied down in such a niche role.

My current dilemma though involves juggling between a full-time employer and a freelance client itching to bring me on board permanently.

Funny enough, when I sought advice from my parents, they simply shrugged and said, "everything will fall into place." Classic parental wisdom, right?

I think they were just happy that I didn’t call them to say, “I’m unemployed.”

So, last night, I decided to meditate on it. And let me tell you, meditation is like hitting the reset button for the soul.

Sure, I'll admit, I may have indulged in a tiny bit of THC tincture, but I've honed my focus to the point where I can channel all my energy into my breathing, even when I'm high. ;)

During this introspective session, I had a moment.

You know that still, small voice within? Yeah, it chimed in with a thought-provoking question: "Where can you make the most impact?"

Bingo!

That was it! The answer to my dilemma could be found simply by asking the right question.

But hold up, it didn't end there.

Cue the follow-up questions: "Where can I make the most impact on the business or on the customers?"

I'll confess, I even let the modern marketer in me sneak in with thoughts about follower counts and email lists. Hey, it's part of the job, right?

Yet, amidst all these considerations, there was a pivotal shift.

It wasn't just about impacting the business or the customers anymore. It boiled down to which path would truly enhance my quality of life.

It's funny-- I've always considered myself a tad selfish. Yet, amidst the chaos of overemployment, I found I had put myself last.

But I did eventually stumbled upon a realization: when it comes to dedicating our precious time, it's not just about impacting others; it's about nurturing our own well-being too.

Speaking of insights, chew on this: when's the last time the answer to your problem came from simply NOT thinking about it?

Or have you ever noticed, that sometimes, the answer you seek is disguised as a question?

Better yet, hit reply and share your story with me!

I hope to leave you with a lasting impression that spirituality isn't just a fleeting interest for me; it's a guiding light in my life, including in my career.

Stay tuned to uncover which path I chose – it's not just about the paycheck, I promise.
